Mahou Sensei Negima

This anime begins on a fairly amusing note. As is very often the case, the main character has a crush on her teacher, Mr.Takahata. But what's amusing, is she is doing a ritual involving wearing a fish suit, diving for fried tofu, and doing a wacky dance. As far as first impressions go, I'll take it.

Then there is you average run to school with her best friend, where upon we first encoutner Negima-Sensei, who is 10 years old and a certified teacher. He also knows magic, as the episode soon reveveals. So through a series of events, mostly involving the fact that Takahata is not the lead girls teacher, her and 'Negi-Kun' as takahata calls him become a bit at ends. Toss in the fact that the lead girl sees Negima-Sensei doing mahou (ie magic) and it's fairly obvious no one's suppose to know...well then...then the episode ends. Yay for cliff hangers, they always leave you begging for more, or at least wondering enough to continue.

Overall- the first episode has me into the series, but I'm not in love with it yet, but I can see myself loving it. So we'll see.
